Jesus to be Mariners bullpen savior?

This Jesus, not this one….

The Seattle Mariners brought up reliever Jesus Colome and designated outfielder Ryan Langerhans for assignment. Colome had a terrific spring and many predicted he would earn a spot in the bullpen on the opening day roster. The Mariners bullpen has been worked hard in this opening series with Oakland, throwing 9 1/3 innings.

The offense has been decent, but not consistent, scoring five runs in the opener before losing a close 2-1 extra inning pitchers duel, and winning another one-run game 6-5. The Mariners played in 55 one-run games last year. The Mariners season is only four games old and they have already played in two games decided by a single run, securing a 1-1 record.

One Response to Jesus to be Mariners bullpen savior?
